Officials: White Co. man arrested after signing for packages containing meth

WHITE CO., IL (WFIE) -

A White County man was arrested after two packages containing meth were found at an Evansville, Indiana post office.

Officials say the packages were delivered to 1009 W. Main Street in Crossville, Illinois.

Officials arrested 30-year-old Luke Burnett after they say he signed for the packages.

Officials obtained a search warrant and found 227-grams of crystal meth in the delivered package.

Burnett was sent to the White County Jail and is charged with unlawful possession of meth of more than 30-grams.

The White County Sheriff's Office, Illinois State Police, Carmi Police Department and Indiana State Police took place in the investigation.
