Russia's 'afterglow' from the Sochi Olympics didn't last long. The fast moving events in Ukraine are disturbing.

with a television station in Ternopil with visits to Kiev and other Ukrainian cities. We also hosted a delegation from
WFIE joined a handful of US media representatives picked to foster the development of privately-owned TV stations in the former Soviet Republic.
14 News anchor David James was among those who personally lobbied the governor of the district for greater transparency between the government and the media.
I traveled to Chervanesti
in the spring of 2012 as a representative from WFIE in a continued effort to
help our TV partners in the Ukraine.
Now we see a threat to the democracy so cherished by those we got to know.
No one wants to see another
