ILLINOIS AND KENTUCKY (WFIE) -

A routine traffic stop leads to the arrest of a man wanted in two states.

Kentucky authorities were on the hunt for 59-year-old Charles Porter for escaping jail.

Porter was also wanted in Wayne County, Illinois for stealing $10,000 worth of cattle and for writing bad checks.

He is being held without bond in the Barren County, Kentucky jail and scheduled for court on March 10. It's unknown whether he will stand trial in Illinois.
