Area schools discuss making up snow days

Posted: Updated:
Several school systems have called off classes on Tuesday, including Daviess and Henderson counties.

EVSC officials say their classes will operate on a two-hour delay. Monday marked their 8th snow day and officials say Superintendent David Smith will decide soon how to make it up.

An hour can be added to six school days or an extra day could be added to the school calendar after Memorial Day.

"It was kind of interesting on Twitter last night, kids were all saying, 'No! We want to go to school now.' You know we always try to keep students safety in mind and that definitely was a deciding factor in today's snow day," said Marsha Jackson with the EVSC.

Warrick County school officials have announced that they will make-up Monday's snow day on Tuesday, May 27th. Castle High School's graduation will now take place over Memorial Day weekend on May 23rd.  Boonville's Graduation will take place the following day.
