HENDERSON CO., KY (WFIE) -

Henderson police say an arrest has been made in connection to a death investigation at the Double Dukes Saloon.

Police confirm 38-year-old Robert Brantley, of Sebree, has been arrested and charged with the murder of 34-year-old Adam Hogan, of Uniontown. Authorities say Brantley was working security Saturday night at Double Dukes when the altercation took place.

Henderson Police tell 14 News that Brantley's statements made at the scene and evidence found during the autopsy led to his arrest.

A witness tells 14 News the incident started with a miscommunication, "He went to the bartender and said this is the worst Jager bomb I've ever had. The bartender told him it wasn't a Jager bomb."

The witness say Adam Hogan then slammed his drink down on the bar, splashing the female bartender.

Then, the witness says, the employees at Double Dukes got involved, "One of the security guards hit Adam on the back of the head with a metal baton to subdue him.  They were on top of him kneeing him, and there were like three of four guys on top of him."

Police say Hogan was pronounced dead at Methodist Hospital.

An autopsy was conducted, but the medical examiner has not released an exact cause of death. More tests are being conducted.

Police say Brantley is charged with murder. The investigation is still ongoing and say more charges could be filed.

Even though an arrest has been made, detective say they are asking that any witnesses from the night of the incident, whom they have not spoken to, contact them at the Henderson Police Department, along with anyone who may have recorded the incident on a smartphone.
