Road crews in both Indiana and Kentucky are preparing for the winter storm that is headed our way this weekend.
The Indiana Department of Transportation (INDOT) says state highway crews have pre-treated bridges, interchanges and roadways with salt brine to minimize icing.
INDOT says its staff will monitor the forecast and its statewide network of road and bridge sensors to deploy the needed personnel, equipment and materials.

The Kentucky Transportation Cabinet (KYTC) says its crews have spent the last couple of days pre-treating highways to prepare for the snow and ice.
KYTC has trucks ready to roll in response to the winter storm.
