Indiana lawmakers have amended the gun buy-back bill to include a provision that would allow guns on school property.
Many believe removing guns from school grounds is the best way to address gun violence at school, not adding more.
"I think it would be a good idea, because of all the things that have been happening. Maybe if they had the availability to get their gun or something, I'd stop it. But if it's locked away, I don't see where there would be a problem," says Daisy Caudell, who is in favor of the amendment.
Members of Moms Demand Action for Gun Sense in America protested the proposal on Tuesday. The bill now advances to the full House.
