The Warrick County Treasurer is being accused of breaking the law.

Warrick County Commissioners were told about the allegations a short time ago. A man, who says he can prove the law's been broken, made his case to the commission on Monday night. He even present them with a packet of documents.

Philip Springstun says the documents prove that County Treasurer Pat Brooks is in violation of the law. He says Brooks hired her sister, Dorothy McKendree, to work in the same office after Brooks became treasurer.

County officials confirm to 14 News that McKendree does in fact work in that office.

Springstun, who calls himself a 'government watch-dog,' says he's went to the meeting because the issue should be concerning to the entire county.

The attorney for the commission said he would look into the issue, but gave no timeline. We'll keep you updated.
