As Spring rolls in, potholes will begin to fill up

Posted: Updated:

Evansville got quite a few suggestions Thursday about how to take care of city roads.

This Winter left many city and county roads with massive potholes that have been a nuisance to drivers.

The number one concern is targeting potholes and filing them as soon as possible.

City Engineer Pat Keepes says temporary work is being done now and permanent work will be done with Spring officially arrives.

Thursday's public hearing at the CK Newsome Center was the first of three meetings that will be held over the next week and a half addressing public road concerns.

The next meeting will be Wednesday, February 26 from 5:30 to 7:00 p.m. at Plaza Park International Academy.

The last one will be Monday, March 3 from 10:00 to 11:00 a.m. at the Stringtown Branch Library.

If there are any potholes that you are concerned about in your area, you can let the city know at the meetings.
