Evansville man found guilty of attempted murder

After six hours of deliberation, a Vanderburgh County jury has found 35-year-old Edward Ivy guilty of attempted murder.  

Ivy is charged in the October attempted murder of Jerry Clark. 

Officials tell 14 News Clark testified that Ivy held his friend at gunpoint while Antoine Russell stabbed him several times in the abdomen and slashed his throat. Clark survived the attack. 

Ivy will be sentenced March 19th. He is facing between 50-80 years in prison.

Russell is set for a progress hearing on plea negotiations next week.
