An SUV rolls over and lands in a creek during an accident Tuesday morning on I-64.
Indiana State Police say 29-year-old Catherine Gress of Velpen was headed west on I-64 near the 55 mile marker when she hit a patch of ice and lost control of her SUV.
Troopers say the vehicle struck a guard rail, went over the top of it, and rolled for about 170 feet until before landing on its side in a creek.
Gress had cuts on her right hand and chin. She was taken by helicopter to the hospital to be checked out because she is pregnant.
Investigators say Gress' injuries could have been much more serious if she had not been wearing a seatbelt.
