School will be in session this Saturday in Gibson County, but students won't be in the classroom.
South Gibson Schools will hold the first of three e-learning days to make up snow days. The state waiver allows them to make up snow-days without tacking them on to the end of the year.
Teachers will be available by phone or e-mail.
Superintendent Dr. Stacy Humbaugh says the program is for all grades K-12.
"We have kids who are online every day doing assignments and doing work that require them to go to the internet for it. It's just the whole concept that they don't have to be inside the school to be able to complete those assignments," says Dr. Stacey Humbaugh, Superintendent of South Gibson Schools.
High school students can complete their work online using their school-issued Chromebooks. The e-learning days are February 22, March 1 and March 8.
