Judge for pre-trial of fmr. Henderson mayor recuses herself

The judge in former Henderson mayor Tom Davis' pre-trial has recused herself.

A new judge will have to be called to come to Henderson.

Davis, pleaded not guilty during his appearance last Tuesday morning in Circuit Court.

Davis, who is also a Henderson City Commissioner, was formally charged February 7 with impersonating a police officer.

He's accused of confronting Robert Frederick and Neil Hall at a fast food restaurant on Highway 41 last September.

The two men say Davis made them believe he was a police officer and he asked for their ID's

During Tuesday's hearing, Davis' attorney asked for a special judge to be appointed to the case.

In addition, Commonwealth Attorney, Bill Markwell, asked to be recused because of his personal relationship with Davis.

The new assignments will be made March 3rd.
