The Evansville Vanderburgh School Corporation school board could decide how to handle a remaining snow day at its meeting Monday night.
EVSC Chief Communication Officer Marsha Jackson says the Corporation will present its proposal to the board at a short meeting beginning at 6 p.m.
The EVSC has had seven snow days so far this school year. Two of those days were waived by the state, meaning they will not have to be made up.
Four of the five remaining snow days are covered by built-in make up days already planned into the school calendar, like Presidents' Day.
That leaves just one day that still needs to be addressed.
Jackson says the EVSC wants to take advantage of increased options the state is giving all schools.
Those options include adding an hour to six school days or utilizing online teaching on a weekend.
Tonight's school board meeting will take place in the EVSC Board Room on Walnut Street.
