Reward increased in case of dog shot in face in Daviess County

Posted: Updated:

The Daviess County Sheriff's Office is taking to social media in hopes of finding the person who shot a dog in the face.

The sheriff's office posted the plea on Facebook over the weekend.

Authorities say the collie, Lad, was shot and left along a road near Maceo.

Officials believe it was taken there in the back of a truck.

They say Lad is going to survive with the help of some extensive medical care.

They hope someone may have seen that truck and is able to give details that could help their case.

If you have any information call the Daviess County Sheriff's Office.

Owensboro Crime Stoppers has increased the amount of the reward from $500 to $2,000 for information that leads to an arrest. You can call them at (270) 687-8484
