Workers sent home after overnight fire at Henderson business

Posted: Updated:

A small fire breaks out at a Henderson business.

Officials with the Henderson Fire department say it started around 1:30 this morning at a plant on Dana Drive.

They say workers were grinding metal when shavings went up a duct and caught the duct on fire.

Crews were able to put the fire out with extinguishers.

Officials say since the building was filled with smoke, third shift workers were sent home. They say the building should be clean and ready in time for Friday morning's first shift.

No injuries were reported.
