A fast-moving system will bring 1-2" of snow in areas mainly north of the Ohio River.
Temperatures will climb to near freezing, so it will likely be a wet, heavy snow that will pile up quickly between 9:00 a.m. and 3:00 p.m. on Friday.
Once the snow quits, skies will remain cloudy through Saturday.
Highs next week will bolt into the mid 50's to near 60 by Thursday.
Included in the winter weather advisory are Gibson, Pike, Posey, Vanderburgh, Warrick and Spencer counties in Indiana, and Jefferson, Wayne, Edwards, Wabash, Perry and White in Illinois.
