Deondre Clark has made it official, he is an LSU Tiger.

The announcement on Monday comes five days after National Signing Day and puts a finish to the nation's number 2 ranked recruiting class.

It was reported Wednesday that Clark's Letter of Intent to play for the Tigers had been received by LSU, but due to the winter weather he did not make his announcement and at one point Clark said he had not made a decision.

The 6'3", 240 pound defensive lineman from Oklahoma City, OK is expected to be an impact player for the Tigers. Rivals, 247Sports and Scout all rank Clark as a 4-Star prospect.

"Deondre is a very athletic and versatile player who was a standout on both sides of the ball in high school," LSU coach Les Miles said. "We are thrilled to have him join this class. He fills a need for us at defensive end. He'll be able to come in and compete for playing time right away."

Clark picked the Tigers over the Oklahoma Sooners.

The highly touted class is led by running back Leonard Fournette and wide receiver Malachi Dupre, both out of New Orleans area.

5-star safety Jamal Adams leads the defensive side of the ball, along with Davon Godchaux, Travonte Valentine, Clifton Garrett and Ed Paris.

Sione Teuhema flipped from Texas to LSU and with Sione's decision came the commitment of his brother Maea, a 2015 5-star offensive lineman.

LSU went back to work this week in preparation for the Citrus Bowl against Notre Dame. A win would be nice, but this is also a chance to get some freshman playing time to get ready for 2018. Well it'll come in practice only. "Those guys will get more reps. So I'll give them a couple of more reps at the end of a team period. It's sending the wrong message to our football team. It's all focus on winning the game. Exactly what we did last year," said LSU Head Coach Ed Org...More >>
