A Winter Storm Warning is in effect for Western Kentucky until 3:00 Monday morning.
Snow and sleet, possibly mixed with freezing rain, will start Sunday afternoon. Officials say it seems the most snow will likely fall during the evening hours and into the night.
All of our Tri-State Kentucky counties are under the warning, that includes Henderson, Daviess, Muhlenberg, Hopkins, Union, Webster, and McLean Counties.
Residents in those areas could see amounts of 4", in addition to sleet and freezing rain .
Kentucky Transportation crews say they are on alert for the winter mix and are asking drivers to be aware of the changing weather and be cautious.
Indiana and some Illinois counties in our viewing area are under a winter weather advisory. That includes Vanderburgh, Warrick, Gibson, Posey, Spencer, Dubois, Pike and White County in Illinois.
Those in the advisory just north of the Ohio River could see 1-2" with some spots seeing 3" accumulations.
Be very careful if you must drive tonight or early Monday morning.
