Officials have arrested a suspect who is believed to be involved in a deadly hit and run accident in Warrick County.
Authorities said the victim, 42-year-old Jeremy Compton, of Newburgh, was walking south on Epworth Rd after his vehicle ran out of gas at Lincoln Ave around midnight.
Investigators said Compton was found lying along the road by two passing motorists around 2:00 Thursday morning.
Warrick County Sheriff Brett Kruse said they were able to locate what they believe to be the vehicle and the driver that were involved in the accident.
The investigation is continuing and no further information will be released until a later date.
