MADISONVILLE, KY (WFIE) - Madisonville Police have charged a 19-year-old man with endangering the welfare of a minor.
David Austin Parker was supposed to be looking after a two-year-old while the child's mother was at school.
Police say when Parker arrived at the house on Monday afternoon, the toddler wasn't awake, so Parker went to sleep.
When Parker woke up and saw the two-year-old wasn't there, he told police he assumed someone picked the child up.
Parker left the home and went to the food stamp office.
Neighbors found the toddler wandering the streets.
