Sinkhole opens up, Holiday home evacuated

HOLIDAY, FL (WFLA) - A residence in Holiday has been evacuated because of a sinkhole.

Crews with Pasco County Fire Rescue were dispatched to a home in the 4900 block of Calais Dr. Sunday morning in response to a 9-1-1 call from residents.

A large crevice approximately 20’ wide and 15’ deep had opened up near the driveway.

The home has been evacuated as the sinkhole appears to be getting larger.

No injuries have been reported.
