A Princeton man, who was charged one year ago with child molestation, accepts a plea deal for a lesser charge.
That's according to our media partner, the Princeton Daily Clarion.
John R. Morrison and his defense attorney went before a judge Thursday morning.
Terms of the plea deal include dropping two child molestation charges in exchange for admitting to a count of sexual battery on a minor.
Morrison was sentenced to probation, including home detention, and will receive good time credit and credit for time served.
He was ordered to have no contact with the child, pay a $100 fine plus court fees and will have to register as a sex and violent offender.
