City Council to introduce resolution on the LST

The Evansville City Council plans to introduce a resolution meant to help keep LST-325 in Evansville.

The resolution urges Mayor Lloyd Winnecke to make renewing the City's contract with the LST a 'top priority'.

It also states that the LST Ship Memorial is an integral part of generating tourism dollars in our local economy, and welcomes approximately 10,000 visitors to Evansville every year.

Last weekend, members of the LST Board traveled to Peoria to meet with city officials there.

Peoria has expressed interest in having the LST move there when its contract with the City of Evansville expires in 2015.
