Warrick County Animal Control says it has received $135 in donations to help care for a cat found tied up in a plastic bag and left in a driveway in Boonville.
Officials say they have to hold the cat for six days before she can be adopted.
The woman who discovered Matilda has a message for the person or persons who did this.
"They should get the same treatment that they did to the cat. There was no need to do that to any animal. If you didn't want the cat anymore, you could have brought it to the animal control," says Lisa Kulinski.
If Matilda's health improves, she will be available for adoption on Monday.
