KENTUCKY (WFIE) -

Owensboro residents had a chance to hear from the Lt. Governor of Kentucky at Thursday morning's rooster booster breakfast.

Lt. Governor Jerry Abramson said the future of Kentucky relies on support for early childhood education.

An attendee of the breakfast we spoke with agrees.

"The governors commitment to early childhood education has really helped increase awareness for the importance of early childhood education and they are following through with money for early childhood education, so I was happy to hear that he did that," said David Ross.

The Lt. Governor said he is also working on making it more affordable for people to attend community college or university and receive a degree.
