The Indiana University School of Medicine–Evansville has announced the Vanderburgh Medical Alliance will be providing $100,000 in scholarship funding to students at the Medical School.
Officials say since 1929 the Vanderburgh Medical Alliance (VMA) has worked to promote the health and wellness of the Tri-State.
The VMA supports the families of medicine in Vanderburgh, Warrick, Posey and Henderson Counties.
Officials say in 2014, the Evansville campus will provide all four years of training locally – eventually growing up to 200 students.
