Lawmaker's gun discharges at Capitol Annex in Frankfort

FRANKFORT, KY (WAVE) - No one was injured Tuesday when a state lawmaker's handgun accidentally discharged inside her office at the Capitol Annex Building in Frankfort, Kentucky State Police.

Troopers confirm a single gunshot was fired in Rep. Leslie Combs' office. Combs and Rep. Jeff Greer were both inside the office. KSP took a report.

Combs and Greer are both Democrats. Combs represents House District 94, which serves parts of Harlan, Letcher and Pike Counties.  Greer serves as State Representative for the 27th District, which includes all of Meade County and parts of Bullitt and Hardin Counties.

There was no immediate word on what caused the gun to discharge.
