Cold temps cause water damage at North High School

Posted: Updated:

While students were out of school due to the cold weather, EVSC officials said North High School was quite a mess on Monday.

Officials say a fire suppression line burst and caused about six classrooms to flood. Fire suppression lines feed water to the fire sprinkler systems throughout the building.

The EVSC has already cancelled school for Tuesday due to the extreme cold. We're told that crews will continue to work Monday night and then again on Tuesday to get the mess cleaned up.

As of now, we're told damage has been minimal.
