Evansville liquor store accused of selling alcohol to minors

An Evansville liquor store is facing charges after authorities say they sold alcohol to minors. 

Indiana Excise police say University Liquors, located at 4920 University Drive, has been preliminarily charged with two counts of allowing a minor to loiter, two counts of sale of alcohol to a minor, failure to maintain employee permit records and having an unlicensed employee.

Officers say they also arrested three minors, ages 17, 19 and 20, on several charges after they left the store. Those charges included-

Two counts of illegal possession of alcohol
Two counts of illegal transportation of alcohol
Two counts of a minor in liquor store
Two counts of possession of false ID
Two counts of false statement of age
Furnishing alcohol to a minor
False informing
