LOUISVILLE, KY (WAVE) – A Louisville woman was arrested for allegedly having vehicles owned by her former neighbor towed to a scrap yard.

According to an arrest warrant, Heather Tanksley, 27, used an acquaintances' cell phone to call a wrecker service on December 9 and December 17. Both times Tanksley had cars owned by the victim towed to the scrap yard.

Tanksley apparently rode with the wrecker drivers each time and was photographed submitting her ID to have the vehicles scrapped.

On December 26, Tanksley attempted to have a third car towed from the victim's home. Police were able to intervene and keep Tanksley from scrapping the car.

She is being charged with two counts of theft by unlawful taking and one count of attempting theft by unlawful taking.
