Child exploitation indictment announced in Evansville

U.S. Attorney Joseph Hogsett made a stop in Evansville today to announce an indictment in connection with "Operation Community Watch".

It's a ongoing federal effort to identify and prosecute child exploitation in Indiana.

Hogsett says 46-year-old Mark Yauger of Evansville has been charged with two counts of distribution and one count  of possession of sexually explicit material involving minors.

Prosecutors say Yauger faces a minimum of 15 years in prison and a $250,000 fine.  No formal trial date has been set.

Yauger has been jailed since last summer when we reported he was charged with failing to register as a sex offender.

More details on this developing story later today on 14News.
