Investigation into Buckskin Fire Dept. break-in leads to multiple arrests

A break-in at Buckskin Fire Department leads investigators to make several more arrests. 

The Gibson County Sheriff's Office says they break-in happened Monday morning around 12:30 a.m. They arrested 19-year-old Amber Reiner for attempted to steal items off a fire truck.

Authorities say the truck used during the break-in belonged to 37-year-old Daniel Goodman, of Elberfeld. Investigators went to Goodman's house, but found 36-year-old Ruth Robling, of Oakland City, instead.  

They also found a number of things they say were suspicious like piles of copper wiring, a construction trailer, and rocky substance that officers say fell out of Robling's pocket. 

Authorities arrested Robling for possession of methamphetamines. Law enforcement returned with a search warrant and that time Goodman was there, along with 30-year-old Sara Wilhite, of Evansville, and 23-year-old Zackary Wheatley, of Petersburg.  

Officers also say they found meth and an active meth lab, plus two stolen ATV's and a construction office trailer.  

Charges are as follows:

Reiner is charged with Theft and Breaking-in and Entering.  Deputies say she has posted bond.  

Robling is charged with Possession of Methamphetamines and remains in the custody of the Gibson County Jail on a $750 bond.  

Goodman is charged with Manufacturing Methamphetamines, Possession of Stolen Property, Possession of Methamphetamines, and maintaining a common nuisance.  He remains in custody without a bond.

Wheatley is charged with Manufacturing Methamphetamines, Possession of Methamphetamines, and Visiting a Common Nuisance.  He remains in custody without a bond.

Wilhite is charged with Manufacturing Methamphetamines, Possession of Methamphetamines, Possession of Marijuana, and Visiting a Common Nuisance.  She remains in custody without a bond.
