Sheriff's Deputy's vehicle hit by train in Owensboro

OWENSBORO, KY (WFIE) - A Daviess County Sheriff's Deputy escaped injury on Tuesday when his car was hit by a train.

The deputy left his car partially parked on some train tracks while he stopped to help a motorist near Center Street and East 9th Street.

By the time the deputy realized a train was coming, it was too late to move his cruiser.

Neither the motorist nor the deputy was hurt.

There did not appear to be any damage to the train.
