Ferdinand woman arrested after two killed in accident

A Ferdinand woman has been arrested following an accident that killed two passengers. 

The Dubois County Sheriff's Office says 20-year-old Carlishia Dooley has been charged with two counts of operating while intoxicated causing death, two counts of reckless homicide. and driving while suspended.

The accident happened around 6:15 p.m. on December 17 at the intersection of S. R. 64 and S. R. 162 between Huntingburg and Ferdinand.

The sheriff's office tell 14 News the vehicle crossed through the intersection, hit a guardrail and rolled down an embankment. The crash killed Jessica L. Morgan, 20, of Birdseye, and Eric M. Bureau, 28, of Dale.

Investigators say Dooley was flown from the scene to an Evansville hospital. She's now being held at the Dubois County Security Center without bond until a future court date.
