LOUISVILLE, KY (WAVE) – Two eastern Kentucky residents have been arrested after an investigation into their actions seen during the broadcast of a reality television show.
According to Trooper First Class Michael Murriell, public affairs officer for the Kentucky State Police Ashland post, the TV show was broadcast on December 9 and showed numerous violations of state laws.
The investigation by state police and the Carter County Attorney's Office found people engaging in the trafficking and possession of controlled substances and placed juveniles in danger.
As a result of the investigation, arrest warrants were issued for Cortney J. Howard, 26, and David R. Nickell, 33, both of Grayson, KY. Both were arrested on December 20.
Howard is charged with possession of a controlled substance, endangering the welfare of a minor and theft by unlawful taking. Nickell is charged with possession of a controlled substance.
Both are being held in the Carter County Detention Center.
Murriell said the investigation is ongoing and additional charges are pending.
