The Evansville City Council will hold a special meeting next week to discuss the registration of Mighty Cab company.
The company failed to submit its paperwork to the city on time.
Since council is not scheduled to meet until after the new year, Mighty Cab would not be able to operate on New Year's.
As a result, more than a dozen employees would be out of work and there would be fewer cabs available for those who've done too much celebrating on New Year's Eve.
After some discussion among the members of council, Councilwoman Missy Mosby tells 14News that a special meeting will be held on Friday, December 27 at 4:45 p.m. to review Mighty Cab's paperwork.
