Victims identified in Dubois Co. fatal accident

Two people are dead and one is hospitalized after a single-vehicle accident in Dubois County.

It happened around 6:15 p.m. Tuesday at the intersection of S. R. 64 and S. R. 162 between Huntingburg and Ferdinand.

Sgt. Chris Faulkenberg with the sheriff's office tells 14 News the vehicle crossed through the intersection, hit a guardrail and rolled down an embankment.

Deputies say Jessica L. Morgan, 20, of Birdseye, and Eric M. Bureau, 28, of Dale, were pronounced dead at the scene.

Investigators tell us the driver, Carlisha N. Dooley, 20, of Ferdinand, was flown from the scene to the hospital.

She is listed in fair condition at St. Mary's Medical Center in Evansville.

The accident is under investigation.
