Holiday help delivered this weekend

Posted: Updated:

400 families in Evansville on Sunday received food and other items to help them this holiday season.

It's part of the K-Love Christmas tour, a multi-city tour that wrapped up on Sunday.

Families were given a 25 pound box of food that should feed a family of four for an entire week. They also received hygiene items and beauty supplies.

"To know that they're going to have some sense of hope. This is, again, a temporary measure, but hopefully throughout the year and into next year, this could be a continuing process. The Tri- State is just so generous in helping out local agencies like the Rescue Mission and we are so thankful for that," said Chris-Michael Morrison with Evansville's Rescue Mission.

The tour ends in a celebration and concert on Sunday night at the First Christian Church in Newburgh.
