"This Saturday will make one year since the horrific shooting at Sandy Hook elementary. It's the second deadliest shooting by a single gunman in U.S. history. In all, 20 six-to-seven year old children were killed. Six teachers or administrators were also killed. It's one of the darkest days in our history.
In this year a lot has been said about gun control and mental health help. Over the coming month, you'll see several commercials on our station promoting OK2Talk. This is a National Association of Broadcasters effort that provides instant access to suicide prevention resources, and other mental health help.
I can't imagine what these families must be feeling, but I want to help in any way I can. We want to find a way to help anyone in need, simply go to OK2Talk.org and help spread the word to make sure something like this never happens again."
