Those scouts say they think the winter snow that came through on Friday has actually improved sales. One scout says that its getting everyone into the Christmas spirit.
Two Boy Scout troops from Aldersgate Church are running the lot on Vann Avenue near the Lloyd Expressway. They work in four hour shifts selling trees to fund other activities, like a long distance camping trip, a back packing adventure in New Mexico.
The boys work tirelessly to serve their customers and they know their service is appreciated.
"Sometimes they kind of drive by and you see cars kind of drive in and look around, then drive away. They maybe come back an hour later. I served a lady over there that said she bought this tree last year, so you kind of got a tradition going. Sometimes people say, "Oh I am a scout too so I am going to buy here," Nash Coy said.
The boy scouts will be selling the trees until they're all gone.
