The National Weather Service says parts of Western Kentucky could see a dangerous buildup of ice.
Law enforcement, EMA officials, central dispatch, and fire departments gathered in Powderly on Thursday as the NWS hosted a conference call for all counties affected by the storm.
14 News sat in on that briefing as agencies went over game plans for the past approaching winter storm.
Officials say the main concern for Western Kentucky is ice accumulation. They are estimating a half to three quarters of an inch of ice.
Agencies were warned to have generators and vehicles ready to roll.
The Red Cross will be set up at the Muhlenberg Convention Center as an emergency storm shelter.
