Taking A Stand: The Salvation Army Toy Town

Posted: Updated:
(WFIE) -

14 News meteorologists are predicting some snow this Friday and for that reason The Salvation Army Toy Town kick-off will be moved to Wednesday, December 4th.

The Salvation Army and 14 News will be at Walmart West, East, Newburgh and Boonville. Our anchors will be live from Walmart on the west side in the morning and on the east and west side in the afternoon.

Please come by and drop off a toy or make a cash donation, so that every child in the Tri-State will have Christmas and every family will have a Christmas dinner.

In 2013, The Salvation Army Toy Town will be assisting over 2,900 people and 1,600 children, including 100 babies celebrating their very first Christmas.

All donations will go directly to the Evansville Salvation Army Toy Town campaign. Collection boxes will be at 80 local businesses through out our community through Friday, December 13.

Please come and see 14 News on Wednesday and give a child a warm meal and gift to open on Christmas morning.

Merry Christmas from 14 News and The Salvation Army.
