CINCINNATI, OH (FOX19) -

Exactly 34 years ago, 11 people were killed while attending The Who concert at Cincinnati's Riverfront Coliseum, which is now called US Bank Arena.

FOX19 Dan Wells was live at US Bank Arena Tuesday morning where survivors remembered their lost loved ones.

In 1979, 11 people were trampled to death as people rushed into the sold out The Who concert at Riverfront Coliseum.

Approximately 18,348 tickets were sold in an hour and a half. At that time, the $10 ticket price got fans in the door but didn't guarantee them a seat.

The Who preformed a sound check and the crowd, thinking they were missing the concert, pushed forward. Only two doors were open at the time.

The Who Memorial Committee are still working on getting a permanent memorial for the victims at US Bank Arena.
