Crews were called out to a house fire in Evansville early Tuesday morning.
It happened at 311 Lexington Road around 1:20 a.m.
An officer, who first arrived on scene said he could see smoke coming from the home.
An investigator tells 14 News the fire was caused by a wood burner in the family room and spread to the attic.
Firefighters were able to put the fire out quickly and say the house has water damage.
All the residents were able to get out safely, but one had to be treated at the scene for smoke inhalation.
