Blue bridge back open
If you're heading over the river and through the woods today, you can use the Owensboro blue bridge. After six months of painting and repair work the bridge is due to be open to traffic at noon today. Emily Busby will be live on Sunrise to spread the happy news for commuters.
Timing is everything. So too with the massive storm system barreling into the mid-Atlantic and Northeast, threatening to upend holiday travel plans for potentially millions of people. And one forecaster says the storm's timing couldn't be worse as it develops and intensifies. There haven't been many flight delays or cancellations yet but weather conditions are expected to worsen throughout the day today.
Teeth chattering cold
Quivering single digit wind chills early this morning with high temps only in the upper 20s/lower 30s during the afternoon. Byron says Thanksgiving Day will be less breezy with highs in the mid to upper 30s under partly sunny skies. The 14 First Alert forecast on Sunrise.

Rough night for the Aces
