Two arrested after officer-involved shooting in Chesterfield

CHESTERFIELD, VA (WWBT) -

Chesterfield Police are investigating an officer-involved shooting that occurred in the 8000 block of Provincetown Drive.

At about 12:30 a.m. Saturday an officer initiated a traffic stop, during the stop the suspect attempted to flee the scene and struck two officers with his vehicle and attempted to strike a third officer.  The third officer fired at the suspect.  A second suspect that was on scene assaulted one of the officers involved and was charged. There were no injuries due to gunfire and no one was seriously injured. 

23 year old Trey Perry has been charged with two counts of attempted capital murder, assault on a police officer, obstruction of justice, eluding police and a traffic charge. 21 year old Tiffany Atkinson has been charged with assault on a police officer and obstruction of justice.

Both are being held at the Chesterfield County Jail without bond pending a hearing in Chesterfield County General District Court on Monday, November 25.
