GIBSON CO., IN (WFIE) -

Three people are sent to the hospital after an accident Tuesday morning in Gibson County.

It happened around 8 a.m. at SR 64 and Heights Chapel Road.

The Gibson County Sheriff's Office says a red a van being driven by 28-year-old Jennifer Heavrin, of Princeton, turned left onto Heights Chapel Road and hit a black SUV, driven by 35-year-old Sean Goodson, of Mt. Carmel, IL, heading east on State Road 64.

Both Heavrin and Goodson and a passenger in Goodson's vehicle were taken to the hospital with non life threatening injuries.

Three children inside the red van were not hurt.

The Sheriff's Office tell us seat belts, air bags, and child safety seats made a difference in the outcome of this crash.
