Evansville's Washington Lawndale Commons under new ownership

Posted: Updated:

Agan Development, an Indiana based commercial real estate investment concern, has announced the purchase of Washington Lawndale Commons by two affiliated family owned companies.

Washington Lawndale Commons is a 330,000 square foot retail center in the 700, 800, and 900 blocks of South Green River Road in Evansville.

Current business tenants located there include Big Lots, Ruler Foods, United States Postal Service, Hallmark, Dollar Tree, Rogers Jewelers, Planet Fitness, Stein Mart and others.

The seller was California based Gateway Arthur, INC.

Immediate plans call for an updating of the façade, parking and traffic improvements, and what Again is calling "an aggressive leasing program".

The new owners are in lease negotiations with three retailers, two of which will be making entries into the Evansville market for the first time.

The developer tells 14 News that the renovations are a three year project, but everything from the parking lot to the color scheme are going to be changing this spring.
