Jury selection is underway in Vanderburgh Superior Court for murder suspect Anthony Goffinet.

The process of selecting the jury for that case is still underway. So far, they have chosen nine jurors.

Officials tell 14 News that opening statements should begin sometime on Tuesday.

40-year-old Anthony Goffinet is accused of stabbing his pregnant wife, Kathleen Goffinet, to death outside of a restaurant on Green River Road back in 2012.

Police say the couple's three-year-old child was also present at the time. Goffinet's charges include murder and neglect of a dependent.

If the jury finds him guilty, Goffinet faces 45 to 65 years in prison. He was offered a lesser sentence if he pleaded guilty, but he turned that offer down.
